Thomas Myers starting to get a handle on Andy McCoy’s New Duster

Washington, Mo. (May 29, 2010) - His nickname may be Tom Slick but Thomas Myers is starting to get a firm grasp on the Andy McCoy Race Cars’ Duster he has been hired to drive. Myers and McCoy have teamed up with McCoy supplying the chassis and Myers the engine and drivetrain.

The veteran driver has less than 10 runs down the track in the nitrous-injected car and has already made a 4.05-second pass. He believes he can go a lot quicker after he gets some motor problems straightened out.

“Like every new car, you just have to find out what it wants,” Myers says. “It’s responding to every touch we make on it. Andy’s got the chassis working really good.”

National Guard ADRL Announces Andy McCoy Race Cars Qualifying Bonus

O’Fallon, Mo (Dec. 11, 2009) - After joining the National Guard American Drag Racing League (ADRL) in 2009 as a display partner in the series’ manufacturer’s midway, Andy McCoy Race Cars (AMRC) will begin paying a major new bonus to top qualifiers in the Pro Extreme and Pro Nitrous classes next year.

“We’re staying busy and a lot of it I attribute to the ADRL because they put on such a good promotional deal,” McCoy says. “That’s why next year we’re looking to step it up and we’re going to provide $1,000 at each race to the guy that qualifies number one in Pro Extreme and Pro Nitrous.”

AMRC Expands its Operation with a Composite Shop

(Dec. 7, 2009) – Andy McCoy Race Cars (AMRC), specializing in the fabrication of high-performance Pro Mod and Top Sportsman drag racing components from chassis to competition-ready vehicles, has added to its lineup with a complete composite shop and the first order of business for the new division is to make AMRC’s proprietary 1970 Plymouth Duster body available.

“This is the next step in the evolution of our race shop,” Andy McCoy said. “We no longer just specialize in chassis building. We are continuing to add to our business with the aim of ultimately producing everything a serious racer would need from bumper to bumper.”

Thomas Myers Enjoys Emotional ADRL Win in Ohio

Granbury, Texas (August 28, 2009) - From the lows of losing a loved one to the highs of winning his first National Guard American Drag Racing League event, the husband and wife race team of Thomas and Rebecca Myers experienced it all at last week. “Tom Slick” captured the ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags III Pro Nitrous title Saturday to cap an emotion-filled three days that started with the passing of his grandfather on Thursday.

A jubilant Myers dedicated the win to his late grandfather, Donald Hailey, and his mother, Donna Myers, in victory lane. “It was such an emotional time,” Myers said. “I just wish Donald could have been there to experience it."
