New Car for Ohio Crankshaft |
Scott Ray, driver for the Ohio Crankshaft NHRA AMS Pro Modified, will
soon be sporting a new ride. The new Andy McCoy built car will soon be
ready for Ray to finish the 2007 race season with.
"We have a new 1953 Corvette coming from Andy McCoy Race Cars in St.
Louis, Missouri. The body will be a Tim McAmis carbon fiber body.
Everything will basically be new in this car. The only thing we plan
on transfering is the engine and transmission. It will have all an all
new computer system, the latest racepak, all new wheels and tires, and
latest technology. It will have the best work done by Andy, and latest
safty components. We are going to have a completely different paint
scheme. It will be very bright red with a lot of gold accents, and
will be a different departure from our most recent cars. We hope to
have it on the track by the first of August, and Andy is making nice
progress with it. Andy has already e-mailed us a lot of pictures, and
the basic chassis is together. They are getting ready to mount the
body, and I recently went out to do the fittings inside the car and to
look things over with Andy. We plan on discussing all the details as
we move along with the project. Really, I'm looking forward to having
it done because I know Andy really does some nice work."
With work almost complete on the new car, Ray and team are anxious to
finish out the 2007 AMS Pro Mod Challange with new Andy McCoy Corvette.
