| New Shop Nearing Completion |
![]() HIGH RIDGE, Mo. (August 4, 2008) – Andy McCoy Race Cars (AMRC), specializing in the fabrication of high-performance Pro Mod and Top Sportsman drag racing components from chassis to competition-ready vehicles, will soon have a new shop to call home in nearby Washington, Mo. The new facility will allow McCoy and his staff to expand production and meet the increased demand for his race cars. “We are extremely excited about the progress of the new facility and we’re looking forward to the extra room that will allow us to increase our capacity,” McCoy said. “We have been able to do some great things out of the old shop and I expect we will be able to shorten the turnaround time even more for orders in the new shop while still maintaining our high standards.” The shop will be located on three acres of land in the Heidman Industrial Park and will total 12,000 square feet. A third of the space will be dedicated to McCoy’s personal race team, while the remainder of the space will house the manufacturing business. The new building will be three times the size of AMRC’s current facility and is scheduled for completion in early September. One of AMRC’s newest ventures is a nostalgic-looking 1970 Duster-bodied race car that has piqued the interest of a lot of people and heightened demand on the shop. Those requests will be met with the increased production space, which is also expected to open the doors for AMRC to delve into catalog sales and other retail avenues. Also making the move to the new shop is 1320 MEDiA headed up by Andy’s brother Ryan. 1320 MEDiA is a full-service design company geared toward the racing industry with website development, video production and one-of-a-kind race car design capabilities. 1320 MEDiA will benefit from the extra space when it comes to the application of large format graphics such as trailer and vehicle wraps because the shop will feature a bay large enough for a tractor trailer so there will be no limit to the size of vehicle that can be trimmed out.
