| Radford debuts Plymouth Duster |
![]() Sep. 10, 2008 Paducah, KY--Well things will be a little different in the Harper/Radford pits this weekend at the Hushpower Dragstock V event at Rockingham. First the 2 cars they will have in the pit area are different than they have run all year. “We have the new 1970 Plymouth Duster built by Andy McCoy Race Cars entering competition for the first time” Said Radford. “We are very excited to be bringing this car out at this race. We have some new car blues that we need to work on but I feel confident enough in my crew and in Andy to take this car to the track.” The other news is that the Billy Harper Viper that was damaged in Norwalk was unable to be ready for the Dragstock event. “Jerry Bickle and his guys have worked hard for us, but we just missed having it back by a couple weeks. We will have it in Dallas for the Battle for the Belts. We are bringing out the black viper from last year, don’t count it out, it’s had some runs in the 3’s” Radford said. Joining the Radford pit area will be car builder Andy McCoy who is committed to making this car, go down the track fast. “This is our first Duster and we are very excited to have it in the capable hands of the Radford/Harper team. Dennis has long been known as a Mopar fan, and it means a lot to us as a company for someone to believe in us enough to take our first attempt at this Plymouth Duster and debut it at the ADRL’s premier national event Dragstock V.”Said McCoy The 1970 Cuda has found a new home in the hands of the Puerto Rico contingent, who’s driver Raymond Matos has already had it running a 4.06 at Valdosta last weekend. “We are excited to be racing at this event in a car that has won at last year’s ADRL Dallas event.” Said Matos.
