Thomas Myers to drive a new Duster from AMRC |

Washington, Mo. (May 20, 2009) – Andy McCoy Race Cars (AMRC) generated a buzz in the drag racing community with the debut last year of its 1970 Plymouth Duster-bodied race car and is currently building one for veteran racer Thomas Myers. Myers will drive the car in the ADRL Pro Nitrous series. “Thomas is an excellent driver and this is a great opportunity for us to showcase our car so we are working hard to get it to him as soon as possible,” Andy McCoy said. “He has a strong engine and drivetrain combination and I believe when they are joined together with our chassis he will see an immediate increase in performance. That’s why we have agreed to supply this car for him.”

|

Washington, Mo. (May 4, 2009) – His work day lasted just a few seconds Sunday, but race car builder Andy McCoy enjoyed getting back behind the wheel of a Pro Modified car at the O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals in Madison, Ill. Returning to the track after a two-year absence, McCoy is subbing for veteran campaigner Scott Ray, who is recovering from bypass surgery, and is looking forward to racing again in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge series at Bristol, Tenn. in two weeks. “I really appreciate Scott, Stan and Mary for giving me the opportunity to drive the car in Scott’s absence,” McCoy said. “It’s just taking me a little time to get acclimated to the car because it’s making so much horsepower. My car never generated near as much power as this car.”
